Thank you for supporting me as I take on the Miss USA stage. I have dreamed of this moment since I was a young girl and to have it finally come to fruition is amazing. My message is simple - to every person out there who has chosen to rise in the face of loss, I see you. A year ago, I lost my best friend Nikki to an overdose. I made a promise to myself that her story would not end there. Every vote puts me one step closer to honoring her legacy on a national stage. Love you all!!

Oh my goodness!!! It seems like we’re doing it. Thank you all!! For those of you who are new here, HI, I’m Mykala and I’m 25 years old. I work as a paralegal in family law and will begin law school at Chicago Kent next Fall. I was the captain of my figure skating team at Providence College and have skated since I was three years old. I love all things country music and coffee and I will never say no to a good road trip.
